Job Description/ Competencies/ Measurable Accountabilities:
- Understand client’s business objectives, vision and goals, and have the ability apply technology in order to facilitate the achievement of the client’s objectives
- On a 1-10 scale – a 6-10 level of experience with most of the following: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (including jQuery), HTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP, Postgres, MySQL, XML, JSON, Git, and interfacing with well known public APIs such as Facebook and Twitter, and Google (yes, we cover a lot of ground at 6kites and don’t mind people coming up to speed in a few areas)
- Embrace working with a variety of technical and non-technical clients and 6kites team members
- Solid understanding of MVC and REST frameworks
- Ability to interpret UX designs and develop leading edge and innovative mobile and web interfaces
- Have a strategic outlook- see future obstacles and help clients make the best development decisions, including architectures for scaling their systems as demand grows
- Comfortable moving between development environments and expanding skills to cover other technologies including iOS, Android, Hadoop, and various open source packages
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
